I completed this piece of work in Year 11 as an engineering assignment. The brief was to find a mechanical object of your choosing and replicate it on CAD or draw it by hand (in this case I used Rhino) and create a folio or working drawings based on the measurements and dimensions of our object. I chose an apple slinky due to the range of curves and lines it had. I felt that it would be much more of a challenge and a better learning experience.
b) An image of a great piece of architecture...
This is the Sagrada Famlia, designed by Antonio Gaudi. It is located in Barcelona, Spain, and its construction began in 1882 and is still yet to be completed. Gaudi was very dedicated to the construction of this magnificent basilica until his untimely death in 1926 after being hit by a tram. The outside of this structure is immaculate in it's detail and the inside is just as beautiful and unique.
c) An original photo of something beautiful...
This photograph was taken by myself while I was on holiday with my family in Bali. It was taken at an elephant camp where visitors were able to ride, feed, and care for the elephants. I find that elephants are beautiful animals with unique personalities and extroadinary minds. They display a range of emotions and in some circumstances act as we do(e.g. dance when they're happy)!
